When the manufacturer undercuts!

Just thought I wouldwwarn all you fellow hard workers about Protek. I have been cultivating a client to use 450, yes 450!, Protek IP rated consumer units. I have spoken to Protek and they know I am doing this. My customer phones them and asks if they can undercut me, I have only marked them up by £2. Protek under cut me by nearly £11.

Anybody ever hear of that happening before?

thanks for the warning but you have to un derstand big buiness they after most profit from the least output so your £2 would work out on £30 IN THEIR EYES.And yes it does always happen i offered to do a houes rewire for £1500 and got blown out cause i was away even though i went round and did a emergency rewire on thier lights and didnt get paid for it,so all be careful.

Although not strictly topic, i wouldnt use Protek if they were free.

Certainly not now they have done that!

I concur. Wouldn't touch Protek in the first place, and I would suggest you steer clear if they are willing to treat you so shabbily.
