I have a line on the outside of my home that had an old floodlight installed. It was getting so the motion sensor wasn't working reliably so I decided to replace it with a floodlight/camera combo from Amcrest. When I removed the old light, I was just verifying I had the correct breaker so I checked the line a couple of times and it was 120V each time. I removed the old and installed the new light and everything worked great for about 3 months. Two weeks ago it stopped working. I climbed back up the ladder and pulled it off then checked the line. Now it shows ~65V. That makes no sense to me. It's on a 15A breaker that also feeds a single wall outlet that my Rachio sprinkler system controller plugs into as well as two garage door openers. Checking each of them reads 120V, but the line where the floodlight goes consistently reads around 65V.
Honestly, this particular issue is completely new to me and I don't understand how this could happen. Of course, the line feeding this runs through the stucco and between the first and second floor of the house so it's not going to be easy to rerun the line if that's going to be the only option. I'm assuming it runs from the breaker box to each of the garage door openers, then to the outlet with the Rachio and I would assume up from there to this fixture because it's about 8' above it.
Any ideas how I might go about sorting this out?
