Discuss Wiring a 10.5 KW shower run in the Electrical Wiring, Theories and Regulations area at ElectriciansForums.net

at 10.5 kw, pull switches are notorious for burning out, and a pig to connect 10mm. i would be inclined to fit a wall switch outside the room.easier to fit, and outside all zones.

As far as i can make out from the various posts i've read on this matter... Many Electricians only use ''Crabtree'' 50A pull switches on these higher rated Shower units that require 10mm T&E. According to them, 10mm cable is accommodated pretty easily... Plus they like the neon indicator being automatically disconnected when you drop the head unit....

So I take it you would follow suit ?

The 50A Crabtree pull switches are far superior to anything else I've fitted. They have 2 openings at the top which the ends of the cable push through, then you have plenty of space to terminate without worrying about tight bending radius or having to try and put the cover on with cables in the way.

Overall a well designed bit of kit.
