Hi Guys,

Just looking for some input and thoughts on the above.

I've been using the NICEIC software for the past two years made by CLIK.
I find it ok,
But expensive when you pay £80 a year per iPad and the initial outlay for the software.
Then having to buy cert numbers from the NIC at near the price of paper Certs.

I have seen iCertifi, has anyone used it??
It seems to offer more certificates, more functions etc and Certs can be completed on site.
All for a fraction of the price.

Is this a good option or is there something better??

Thanks in advance.

Rich

Why don't you just use niceiconline.com as its £1 per cert and is easy to use and can access anywhere.

To be honest I've always over looked that as I tried it when it first came out and you couldn't see the cert schedule until the end and it wouldn't fill in some boxes.
Has it improved?

I'll have a play,
I looked on the App Store and it has 1 star....
I have had loads of Certs go missing from my CLIK software and have to return to retest FOC :(
Thanks uksparks

I know others prefer to use other software as its free or just a one off, but in my opinion you can't beat the NICEIC online software, it really is very quick and easy to use, you don't need to use the schedule tool but you can if you like, I think it's a lot quicker and easier not to.

like I say I use it every day and it's a pleasure to use.

A good mate of mine uses iCertifi on his iPad and he loves it. It's well worth a try to see if you like it. You can buy it for as little as 3 months to give it a go.

Hi guys,
Just a bit of feedback for anyone who is having a similar problem.

I tried the iCertifi app on site but it isn't any good unless you are a one man band as cannot do a QS signature or verify it.
It's completed by the engineer on site and that's that.
Although the PAT testing is good.

I have also tried the NIC online system using there iPad app to use offline.
I am very impressed and it's a doddle to use.
At £1 per completed cert it's not cheap, but a very good product and a lot cheaper than the CLIK option or any other installed software.

Hope this is helpful to someone.

Easycert, tried for the first time the other day. 14 day free trial then £175ish for what seems to be a full package of every form of cert needed. Very easy to use, looks professional,,,, might buy it, need to have a bit more of a play with it first.

180qid
can use it on your pc/laptop (windows only though-they don't have a mac version)
also can get an app for ipad and iphone

That's my issue... I'm not a Windows fan to say the least.
I like the idea of cloud based software as access is available from any device anywhere.
It also doesn't matter if I forget my laptop ;-) lol

Just tried it myself, seems very good!
Has anyone had experience using it with multiple engineers?

windows is a pain in the arse but mac isnt really great for everyday tasks.

linux is best for servers. (its getting a lot better for the average user and its getting to the point you can run windows or mac software through it but it wont be user-friendly for a while)

mac is overpriced imho

windows = cheap carp but most software is written for it

Just pass the log in details to every engineer, if that does not work have a word with the company and inform them of your intentions. They may charge more but if it works for you, go for it.

just seen easycert advertised on sky apparently they have 40% off atm

edit:

just checked no such thing

Can you use NIC forms on easy cert.
Been having a play and noticed there is no QS signature box....?? Any other NIC contractors use it?
Cheers in advance

You use easy cert forms on easy cert. There are options for multiple signature forms on easy cert.
