tube is tube, i was taught by both a plumber and electrician when i was at college and other than multiple names for the same thing the principle is the same.Who uses conduit these days?
As boydys post earlier
my tip for a double set is get the first one correct.
then mark it out on the floor
return to bender.
make second set to match your outline marked on the floor.
result spot on double set.
There are lots of tricks but when you have been doing it for years and were a properly trained apprentice, it just flows, 2nd nature. Geordie knows what Im saying.

You tube - seems entirely appropriate.Exactly!!
That said, there's some good useful stuff on you tube showing exactly how it's done.
Who cares, just palm it off on a pipe fitter! :smilielol5:
Exactly!!

no need if you have a decent vice and usw treflexYou forgot a final....remove from bender ...
Oh and file off the vice marks and paint vice marks and all bends.

greese and rag is all you need usually or a file on an old viceNo matter how good the vice or the grease is the conduit will need touching up.
A good vice will leave smaller teeth marks than a bad one but the marks will still be there.

i didnt add a rag to the list but would use it with treflex on galv.Time to change your college Shanky, or demand your money back:6:

I can honestly say I have never painted galv tube.
But then I have only ever installed it inside so it doesn't really matter lol
Now black tube thats something i dont miss!
Orrible crap that was!
lol your doing it wrongpvc? don't you just love getting whacked in the face by that spring.
i didnt add a rag to the list but would use it with treflex on galv.
not the way i would do it, answer me a question
what is the point iin spraying cuts on pre galv trunking etc in a boilerhouse?
it will rust like a bastad anyway
Yup horid stuff!
Used it the once in college and never again since. Plain galv is king lol
But PVC FTW
yeah we use galv outside but we tend to work with right dodgy pipe fitters.tell your boss to buy better materials, all the pipe, tray, rack, strut that's outside and in the plant rooms on the power station I'm on is fine and this place is in one of the wettest and miserable places going
PVC pipes for plumbers mate galv everytime

they spend more time running around with buckets, pumps and mops than actually working
Is that a ballcock or a cockball or a cock and balls??????
