As Per title, I did have a look in the search but had no luck, apologies if this has been asked a 1000 times before.

I need to install a basic 2 zone fire alarm system. (breakpoints / sounders / detectors)

Am I qualified to do this with 2391?
or do you need a specific fire qualification?

it has to comply to fire regs get it designed correctly by a company from the wholesalers and add an extra £200 for them to commision and certify you got no come backs then

Simple answer is yes. Your qualified to design, install and certify. However ensure this is done in line with the regs, local council regs, fire officers requirements etc etc.

Also make sure you have the right insurances etc, failure to function for example.

Wholesalers can be a bit of nightmare, cheap panels high prices to commission etc.
Best thing is to intergrate with a good fire alarm company, they can design and spec for you, and you can install.
This is were we value electricains and has work for us for years.

So providing I have indemnity and public liabiltiy insurance I'm okay to install and commision. I was hesitant because I am not registered to the NIC or similar scheme.

Thanks for your help, WIll
