There are some really good products out there that are badly let down by the connection methods. I’m very new to this lark but even back in my DIY days I often wondered if experience sparks had to have four arms.
Just fitted some click nano adjustable downlights. Really nice lights but what’s going on with their connector unit? Still relies on screw connector block that will usually have to take two cables. You therefore have about only about 30mm of conductor (in order to get a small bit of outer sheath clamped by the poor effort of a clamp if that’s what it is) to line up x6 into three little wholes whilst trying to prevent 2 short sections of earth sleeving dropping off.
In this day an age where millions of down lights are being fitted, poorly and impactically design connection methods are just a recipe for dangerous faults to occur.
There, I feel better now!:confused:
