image.pngMorning All, Just got this through from a colleague looking at a commercial gas boiler installHe sent this picture through, From the description of the cable coming in it sounds like MICC, but the glands don't look like MICC glands and neither does the cable, So it could just be old flex.
The switc IMO looks like a DP switch but I've never heard of arrow switchgear and cant find any traces on the web, Has anyone heard of them or have any better ideas as to what this could be? As I say It's in the vicinity of a gas boiler, But as of yet my colleague cannot find what it could isoate?

Yes as above That is bare MIC cable and MIC glands. If you need to replace the switch there are plenty of alternatives on the market Just find out what load you are pulling though i,t I'm guessing its about a 45amp or 32 amp double pole. Might even be 20 amp Judging by the size of the able

All looks pretty bog standard to me too. The switch inside will be a QMB long break type with brass blades that swing into contact forks. Old design, pretty bomb-proof, I think they were DC rated too.

Thanks for the help chaps, Thought It would be a standard DP switch, But with it not being a brand I know about I wasn't sure if it was a more specialised piece of equipment. I didn't think the glands looked like MICC glands, But then again It's been a while since I last had any dealings with it.
