Hi All. TBH I'm not sure that this is an electricians issue or plumbers. I live in a standard 2 storey house. Long story but I am putting an additional bathroom on the ground floor. The room has no external walls or windows. The area does though have a redundant flue that serviced the old boiler that passes through the house out of the roof. Can I utilise this as a ducted route for an extractor? And if so what kit is recommended.

You can, however you may need to insulate it,
If it is not insulated, you may get a lot of condensation forming on the inside from the warm moist air, this can run back down and drip out of the fan.

Hi, in some cases a old flue be utilised. Whichever electrician is doing the install should be able to recommenend if it can be used, which fan is best and which kit will be needed to used.
