Hi, sorry to be a pain again! When starting up what size and brand of drill bits do you recommend? I dont want to waste money on expensive brands if they are no better than cheaper ones but also dont like the idea of buying cheap if they only last 5 minutes!

Also is it worth getting a Fein Multimaster? If I got one would I need a circular saw? Could it also be used for other things, I thought maybe cutting out for back boxes?

Thanks for your input guys (and girls :)), you're great!

GET ONE!! They are great for back boxes also you will find loads of other jobs for it.
On drill bits, if it's for metal go for a decent brand and hss-g which is ground from a better steel than the rolled versions.
If it's for masonry, get Hawera or Bosch for SDS and look for Hawera's percussion plus or Multi-construction drills.

RULE NO.1 you cant have too many tools!!

Multi master is the tool you never know how you managed without! a must for every tradesman!
i have a bosch 18v for most work and light masonry
a 36v hilti sds for general work
and a big boy makita 110v for core cutting/chasing and big drilling

Any of the main brands are ok bosch makita dewalt etc
dont buy cheap tools, you get what you pay for!!

also handy to have
wall chaser and hoover
jigsaw
circular saw
4in angle grinder

The Fein is great but remember that now that their (Fein's) patent has expired other manufactureres are producing similar tools. I've got the Bosch one (Blue) and it's great although I'd steer clear of the 10.8V version of it as the batt life is pants by all accounts.

Cheers,
