just been given a drill charger to see if i can get it working.

personally it smells of smoke to my nose, its a "worx" 18v drill
i only got 5-8v output on the pins
but when i open it up and found the cable from the plug i had 3-5v (changed a bit) No load.
its spose to be 18v 500mA

Dont know if it needs to have a load before it will chuck out the 18v 500mA to the Battery.

Transformers ive had with a DC Jack, i just click one prob up the middle and one around the side and get the voltage. But this one is only giving me 3-5v..

NB when i opened it up, i did knock off a bit of some thing that seemed to be Glued in between pins (on the output side) it didnt look like it should of been there and did come off with a push.
Also some pins were a bit brown.

sounds like it's knackered. kaput. it's an ex-charger.not resting, it is deceased.
