Drop Key

Hello,

I do a lot of work (almost all my work) in council flats and we have no access other than the concierge (if there is not one and "Trade" is not working then have to call all flats till get in (working in com areas).
This is not ideal esp when no concierge.
Some of the workman who are directly employed by the council use drop keys and some have fobs.
The council was I think talking about getting us a fob but have heard nothing since.
If we buy a drop key from amazon are we allowed to uses these when we have a genuine reason for access?

The fobs are sold as blanks and need to be programmed, So the council will need to program the individual fobs for access.

If you can get a drop key online, then do so, otherwise pester your firm. Mine automatically give us all one anyway.

Buy a drop key. I worked for the council before and had one but lost it.

The locks don't always work though

sorry misunderstood, our councils give keyfobs or we press trade and unit telephones council office for access

It's a housing association mate so we need them a lot.
