Dryer cord/receptacle mismatch

Best Buy just delivered my new Samsung dryer and brought a power cord with a NEMA 10-30P plug. My dryer receptacle is NEMA 10-50R. They claim I need a new receptacle and refuse to continue with the installation. Can't I just get a 10-50P cord or is there more to it than that?

If I can't do that, can I use an adapter, such as https://www.amazon.com/AC-WORKS-AD10501030-10-50P-3-Prong/dp/B07VWLZZFB Is this safe?

You need to hire an electrician because your existing dryer receptacle is 3 wire and needs to be 4 wire. Anytime you change a appliance then you need to bring it up to code.

The cord provided by Best Buy is a NEMA 10-30P (3-wire).

The OP needs to bring it up to code and quit using the bare ground as a neutral. They need to repull the dryer outlet using a 4 conductor cable
