Can anyone give me some advice on coding I recently carried out a EICR on a Commercial premises (communal areas of a block of flats) 3 x DB's all single phase with incoming 3 phase supply with 100A type 2 b fuses with 16mm tails going to each DB - personally I warrant this a code 2 any thoughts and reasons please

How long are the tails?
If they're less than 3m, then the protective devices in the CUs will provide overload protection.

Ideally would be 25mm but there must be hundreds of thousands of houses with 100a fuses and 16mm tails. Look at length of tails and max demand but don't overly fret. code 3 IMHO.

Agree, yet to see any heat damage to 16mm tails anywhere caused by overloading.

Yep seems a simple solution there, just get the fuse lowered to meet the flats max demand or cable carrying capacity after considering the relevant factors!
