Extending ring main cables

I would like to extend the existing 2.5mm T&E cables to relocate a switch.
Can I use a 2 way wago connector for each cable and do they need to be enclosed in a box? Also, will this cause any issues with continuity and resistance testing in the future?

Yes, they must be in a box, with proper cable restraint. The WAGO boxes are fine for this.
No, it won’t affect any testing in future.

2.5mm cablein a switch??? is it a socket or a switch??? use wagos but in the existing box/es. then they are compliant witout using an extra box.
