Hi all, after a bit of advise if ok please. We have a switch which currently only powers one single LED down light in our ceiling. From this switch I would like to add a feed (already installed) to provide power to three LED wardrobe lights. Max wattage is an extra 9w on top of the current 5 watt LED down light in the ceiling.

The switch is the left one in the picture. One side has lights for the bedroom (right) the other switch (left) has the light to that single LED light.

Can I just tap in a live, neutral and earth here? So neutral will go in to the bundle as will the earth.

The live will go in to the L1 so when I turn on the ceiling light the wardrobe lights come on too. Is this ok please?

Many thanks!Lights.jpg

I would say yes but you will need bigger connectors as they only accept four conductors.

You could always change the switch so you still have individual control.

This is true, and something I thought about - this looks to accept the same back box which is great since I would not want to cut a larger hole. Cheers!

The thing is though, I can only think that when we turn the light on for this we would want both ceiling and wardrobe lights to come on at the same time anyway. Perhaps if we wish to split that is a good option.
Presume I'd need to daisy chain the commons for this solution?

If you decide to change which is quite straightforward mark where the brown wires go first.
