Find myself doing a few jobs recently where i think a laser level might be useful. All indoor, mainly downlights and kitchen sockets...
Don't want to spend a fortune, but saw this Screwfix deal:

Ok for occasional use, or waste of money? I'd be grateful for your input.

I have one of these DeWalt models, I've used it a few times for lining up downlights, but usually only bother when there are quite a few, not worth the trouble for a small room. Probably only use it a few times a year, but very useful when I do.

you can get red goggles to show up the red laser lines more clearly. they really work well.

I think you're up to April fools mischief. ?
I have some green and yellow tinted specs to help find a bit of sleeving in the bottom of my toolbox.

Thank you to all for your replies, much appreciated. I'll probably buy the DeWalt one and the cheapo that @Dartlec linked to...that way I'll have 2 for not much more than the price of 1!

I have a cheap red laser one... and it's often used... good for long distance stuff, ceilings, nicely decorated walls etc.

Plus one for a green laser, it lights up so much better than the red. I can only compare it to a friends red laser, which has difficulty showing up on a normal brightness day (inside). My green laser always shows up, even on a bright sunny day. It was expensive though. This one is ÂŁ100 cheaper and I expect it is just as good as the one above, the main difference being it uses normal batteries rather than the dewalt battery. if you just keep some spare AA batteries with you though it's not a problem and saves you ÂŁ100.

I think the autistic part of me quite likes the laser lines pinged around the room... makes everything seem more ordered and regular.
