Barker is off on a jolly - I mean 'trade mission' - to the USA from 6th to 10th May. Probably travelling out tomorrow.

I suspect he will tweet when he is there though.

Ted - is there anything you don't know!! That suggests that they are waiting until the 11th to make the announcement. I'm surprised he hasn't sneaked it out today and then made a run for it to the US.

Need a decent Hashtag with it as well
Can you do that bit then??? I've got bogged down with stats for this press release so it might be tomorrow before I get anything done ... should we be going for the 11th know we know he'll be back? Either that or we'll have to make sure the US and UK times co-ordinate......

There is already the established #cutdontkill hashtag run from our solar future. Would be good to use this.

DECC 'should' release the details of the consultation results soon (10th Rings a bell) so the 11th may be too late.

Well i can think of loads of hashtags to use; #pr**k #k**b #idontknowwhatimdoing - hows are those for starters?

What about #omnishambles? There's a chance that the media might pick up it - possibly include "in the thick of it" into the message.

Sorry for the delay and apologies to MEP haven't had a chance to run this past him.

What about:
@GregBarkerMP 6200 jobs lost in solar via fit cut #solar #omnishambles #we’re in the thick of it” halt #Fit cuts – let the industry recover

He has just tweeted from US and I believe that between 5 and 7 is quite a good time to send tweets. How about 6pm on Wednesday 9th?

I haven't set up Tweetdeck yet but I believe that you can automate your tweets and send them out exactly when you want. How about sending them on the hour every hour if we can???

All just thoughts - feedback welcome.......

i would like to get iinvolved too but dont know how dont know how to tweet etc why dont we all welcome him back at the airport lol

Tweetdeck is easy to set up and you can time your messages. I'm in, is this the message we are defo using? If so, i am loading Tweetdeck! If you want 'we're in the thick of it' as a hashtag the spaces need to be removed or it will only pick up #we're

Im easy we need as many as possible to join in if we get a good few the media may pick up on it or somehow let them know the deed as been done imagine getting thousands to do it !!! even the public

So we all need tweetdeck and we now need a catchy tweet so people pick up on it mabye a rhyme , have you heard that song ''wheres my keys where my phone'' be good to do a switch on that ....
