Metrel MFT repairs

Hi,

Can anyone recommend a decent MFT repair shop, in the South, who can repair Metrel MFT's?

I am a sole trader and can't afford to be without it for long!

They have high minimum charges and terrible turn round times and their service center is up north.

I might have to buy a new MTV and it won't be Metrel!

I was under the impression they moved everything down south last year.

Sales office is close to me but no services.

I talked to the UK boss at Elex Sandown Park about this in November - he took my card and promised he would be in touch - the silence is deafening.

the calibration centre in stafford are good for repairs, but you'd need to post/ship it to thjem.

If your thinking of a new meter then speak to metrel as i believe do a part ex on their meters

I don't think so.

As I have previously stated, their service sucks so why would I want to stay with them......

By way of an update...

I called Alpha Electronics in Maidstone, explained my predicament and they were brilliant.

Last Wednesday late afternoon I dropped the unit off (Maidstone is about 1 hour from me so it was nice and easy)

They called my Thursday am with the "bad news"

I collected the unit this morning repaired and calibrated (as that is due soon)


marks out of 10 ------- I would say 11.

Excellent service from the first phone call to collection this morning.

the only downside - 2 days at home painting and 2nd fixing our extension!

I only use Alpha electronics now, the service is always spot on.
