Hi all iv got my niceic inspection coming up and this is the 1st time that i have done this. Can anyone give me a heads up of the sort of questions and what the inspector would be looking at.

My 2 jobs are the following:

New 2 way db feeding a garage( renewed ring main, left the lighting the same as there was no problem but changed the fitting which makes no odds) split the tails rcd protected.

Job 2: Exterior socket fed of existing board rcd protected, gas and water bonded.

Any help would be much appriciated.

Thanks
tom

What's a domestic installer?

An installer of anything domestic obviously! Derrrrrr!

I had a PD mate round the other day to replace and paint some coving, he installed the coving and paint in a domestic setting, I think this counts doesn't it? Ergo sum: PD = domestic installer.

He will want to see you have the regs book as well as books 1 and 3, he will need to see your test kit, H&S policy, when on site you will need to prove you can test and prove equipment is operating properly. He will check the results of your Jobs against what you test on the day also, he will want to see how you ensure your test equipment is confirmed as reliable. All basic stuff really.
