UK Nightmare with Steel Conduit

So as I’ve asked about this a few times and I’ve had some time off over Christmas I’ve decided to start it. I’ve first started to cut and thread all the galvanised conduit. Assembled it all with the end boxes and dome lids.

I’ve then primed it and then using some ZG90 sprayed it white. I’ve then had a right challenge getting the right 10mm T&E through the conduit.

I am thinking I may use Tim’s idea of removing the sheathing and then butt crimp the CPC and use some 4mm single CPC

As I can’t assemble all the conduit then thread the cable through. Then trying the other way would destroy the cable.

Also some of the paint decided to come off. Despite having two coats and fully drying. I’ve also tried the D Line Fire Rated clips. They maybe okay for PVC Conduit but don’t work with Galv very well. So I maybe 25mm Spacer Saddles instead.

Would something like this work with plastic or is the cable too heavy to support it over a metre

What size conduit are you using, and why are you not wiring it in singles?

I think its been established on other threads that the inner insulation within a T&E is not quite the same as the insulation on singles.... It doesnt need to be..... the grey sheath being the "mechanical protection"

6491X singles and similar is designed to be dragged through metal conduit without damage..... although you might need a little cable lub.

6242Y with the sheath stripped off is a bodge.

I’ve managed to sort it. Could anyone recommend anything to secure the conduit. I’ve tried the d line clips and they aren’t the best. The Delta Saddles from Screwfix are rubbish.

It’s a bit dark. Also last time I put photos up it ended up in an argument. With people commenting on my house.

So I’m just after some advice regarding the best way to fix this. If I drill behind the fascia then I’m at the top of the brick and just above is the ceiling.

I’ve also bought some ZG90 for the Galv Conduit.

could you move the top conduit to below the other one, make it off into a small box and drill through the wall at an angle so the hole exits inside the building about the same place as the existing one?

Possibly. The issue is the Galv has 10mm T&E which was a pain to get in. If I could cover it over with something. Then just bend the plastic conduit.
