Part 'p' inspection - what were you asked and has anyone failed...?

Hi All,
Thinking of returning to domestics and doing part 'p' assessment. Just wondering who's done it and what tests were you required to carry out ? How 'in - depth is the testing they require you to do ?

i did a full range of tests on mine and i suppose it depends on how you feel on your testing, some find it easy some find it hard. the testing is straight forward and simple enough. if you are unsure a good course would be the 2392 which is geared up towards the domestic testing side of things

If this forum had one of its member referendum and asked if anyone knew of somebody who has failed
I would guess the vote would be 999 no
Perhaps one yes
maybe.there again maybe not,oh alright there will more than likely be no one who has failed

They are not trying to fail you. If your work is tidy safe and complies with BS 7671 you are 90% of the way as for questions asked you are not expected to know it all but you do need to know where to find the answer. Dont waffle they will spot that a mile away and most important have the kettle on and some biccies on the table for the desktop review.

Are you going contractor or domestic

OK about 3 hours in total most questions will be at your notifiable job some of it is feedback and information for you seems like a long time but on the day feels like 10 mins

Surely some folk must fail! If not whats the point of an assement?

I suppose the ones that fail are reluctant to admit it but my question was simply to try to judge the level of difficulty and hence the pass rate not to find out who passed and who failed.

I'm hoping to do this soon , after years out of the domestic scene hence i'm unsure as what to expect.

Any other comments from people who have been through the assesment (pass or fail ) are most welcome
