when doing a periodic inspect and test can anyone tell me at what point an unsatisfactory conclusion is required . i know that a code 1 is a definate unsatisfactory but what if u where to have 4 code 2s and 2 code 3s for example . is it down to disgression or is there a set amount of codes .i should know all this done my 2391 but seem to have had a mind blank. cheers everyone

Hi

The general rule of thumb and what is recommended by NICEIC,NAPIT & ELECSA is that you CANNOT issue a satisfactory report if it contains any Code 1 or Code 2 deviations.

Sintra is right!
A satisfactory report is hard to find these days. Do a full visual first, walk into every room, every cupboard, get open all the doors, try all the light switches as you walk round, make sure all accessorys are secure. Write down all faults/observations found then I would open the board and start the inspection. This way as your writing down the circuit details your already getting a picture of where your gonna test and whats out there. The actual testing is only part of it. The inspection is the crucial part.

Forgot to say...Generally as you walk through the door an unsatisfactory report will be concluded.:rolleyes4:
