Hi All, customer wants some new poolside lighting, and the edge of the pool is 1.8m from the side fence so it's within Zone 1. Didn't seem to bother the last Spark, but if I read it correctly 702.55.4 says Class II 230V lights if they are 2m up and RCD'd (not likely to be wanted due to light pollution towards neighbors) OR its SELV.

Boringly I know a bit more about sewage pumps than poolside lights, so I would appreciate feedback please - have I understood this correctly? - and - any recommended suppliers of posh outdoor led lamps and SELV drivers ?

Cheers,
David.

Yes in zone 1 they need to be SELV with the source of supply outside the zones, if rcd protection is provided for the source of supply it can be located in zone 2.

SELV would be my choice.
