I need 6 switching light circuits to control 12V LED light in Zone 1 of a pool, the problem is that Zone 1 is as you open the door to the building.
I been thinking about using a 230v to 12v transformer in the plant room to a grid switch near the pool. This could switch 12v to a 230v contactor with a 12 v coil so allowing 230v power to the 12v LED driver located in a hidden void in Zone 2.
Is this allowed?

Quinetic switches might be an answer

It's not so much that it's 12v , it's that it must comply with being SELV or PELV, and all the requirements of 701 in relation to the use of them.

If you SELV or PELV the 12v, then yes.
