Hello All

A client of mine has a pair of roller blinds installed in her flat. The size is about 1400 wide by about 1200 heigh. Each blind has a special plug next to it as shown in the picture.

The problem is - they were working fine and then suddnely they both did not work at all.
I believe these run on 24VDC but am unsure as i did not get any voltage reading at all from the four core wire going to the sockets. The customer told me they replaced the battery in the remote but still nothing. I think this could be something very simple like they flicked a switch or the transformer is down, only problem is the floor is difficult to take up. Any ideas please on how to get stuck into this one? Are there some basic checks i can do to get a better idea of whats going on. This is my first time to deal with these so please be patient.

many thanks

Very common connector especially in commercial premisis for the lighting , ive got the same problem with roller blinds they are normally 24 volts , make sure that the proximity switches and stop switches are clean that was a problem with one of mine , but first check to see if you have voltage at the blinds it could be just a blown fuse in the control box normally located below the blinds

You might get greater input from the more experienced guys (not saying thats me BTW) if you can post a web site with info or schematic or a block diagram. Its difficult to judge/help unless you have specific experience of this system.

if i had, that it would be really easy for me but i am afriad i am going in blind. the contractors were german and are no longer in the uk. hence why i came on the forum.

hoping to save me a lot of hassell.
