Hello all, I just bought a house and a few of the lights were broken so I am replacing the fixtures. There are three light fixtures and three switches, each of which controls all three lights. I turned the circuit breaker off and all of the switches do not have power and two of the lights do not have power however one light fixture is still getting power. I eventually went through other circuit breakers and found that single light is controlled by another circuit breaker. Can someone explain this to me? thanks!

TL;DR
Hallway lights that has three switches that control three lights. All of the switches and two of the lights are controlled by one circuit breaker, and one of the the lights is controlled by another circuit breaker. How can this be?
