OK, on a cul-de-sac build that I've just won, there are three lamp posts need to go up. It's not an adopted road (owned by the developer) and the DNO have already put in supplies to each position.
I've got an opportunity to quote for supply and commission if I want to, but have never gotten involved with street lighting before and am unsure of whether to proceed or not.
1) given the 'private' road nature, do I need a license? And if so, how do I get one?;
2) are there any special considerations for things like insurance;
3) assuming that I'll get a ground work company to put the bases in, what else do I need to know practically;
4) any suggestions for 'cost effective' suppliers for parts.
Cheers all.
