Evening All,

In a couple of weeks I have to install and 80m run of 4 core 50mm SWA. The factory its in has a rather posh and expensive floor so I don't want to be rolling around heavy drums on it if it can be avoided.

Has any body seen drum roller/holder that you can hire or buy that would accommodate a drum of this size, was also hoping it would make the cable pull easier.

Ive seen a few examples on eBay that might do the job but just wondering if anyone has come across other stuff in the past.

Cheers

Dave

that's exactly what you need. why spend a fortune for something you may use only rarely, when you can hire for £40 odd.

80mtr of 50mm not all that heavy, but what you could do is get a couple sheets 2.4x1.2x0.6 ply to roll drum on and a pair off drum jacks and spindle

better off with the floor mount rollers.

Cheers guys that roller is just the job :)

The floor is a special ESD zone material so have to be very careful when working on it. May even put the roller on some ply as suggested as an extra precaution.
