Will this work in the UK?

Hi all,

I am trying to buy a present for someone but it only appears to be for sale in the US. I can get it shipped over here to the UK but want to know if it will work? And if it would work with an adapter, would it burn out quickly?
I want it to be safe and last...

No unless you buy a very 110v transformer with a longer heavy load duty then it takes to boil a full kettle..... don't think it would look nice on the work-top as this is a world wide brand i would suggest you go onto their own site to source a UK friendly version.

forget it. over £100 for a 110V kettle. bugger that. i have a 3kW jobbie, 240V. cost about £30.

Here found one straight away Uk company .... you not very good as searching .... and its cheaper.

Noted its not the same model and doubt its available on UK voltages but the CPK 17U is closest i can find

Why not buy it from house of Fraser, they do a uk version, that will be cheaper to buy to
