Hi
My daughter wants to add some DRLs to her car.
The wiring diagram attached is being followed.
I had heard that relays require a diode across the coil so I have shown one in the illustration (see grey line work).

Is a diode actually required in this application or not?
Thanks

DRL = daytime running lights
