Hi,

I am looking to fit an ip44 16 amp socket ( like the caravan connection type - three pin, round and blue ) to a lamp post we have in the garden so we can connect Christmas lights to it.

I have noticed these are commonly used on street lights in towns for the same reason. Upon closer inspection the ones used in town on street lights seem to have a curved back profile so they fit better to the lamp posts.

I have looked everywhere for something and can not find any, does anyone know what there called or can point me in the right direction. all i can find are flat profiled surface mounted ones.

Thanks..

If we pole mount equipment we buy a pole mounting bracket separately and trim it to size, that way we're not restricted to equipment that's specifically designed as pole mounted. Look at security equipment ranges for brackets, cameras and security sensors are often pole mounted so there's wide ranges of this type of bracket in the security wholesalers. Here's one at Maplins than might suit your needs. Xvision Pole Mount CCTV Camera Bracket | Maplin and there's cheaper ones on ebay http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Universal...r-CCTV-Security-Camera-PTZ-Dome-/301399310538.
