Hey guys just a quick question. Doing a rewire on my property and was wondering if it was ok to wire the power In a radial 4mm with 20 amp breaker. I know it's usually a ring on a 32 but I heard the regs will soon change to incorporate the 4mm radial. Will it still pass on test though at the moment?

you can fit 32A on a 4mm radial as long as there is not catastrophic derating

Cheers guys. Girlfriend wants all the fancy led lights everywhere too. Mains voltage or lv. What's best apart from saving energy. Heard lamps don't last that long on mains voltage type.

why 10A???

a very good reason for using 4mm is that you can't buy stranded 2.5mm. the solid stuff you buy now is pants. try pulling it through joists when it's just come off the van at -10degrees.

why 17meters? volt drop?

nah. her indoors was bashing me ears while i was typing.
