Vin(+) ~= Vin(-) when op-amp is in linear operation
Vin(-) = Vout due to the direct feedback connection
Therefore Vout ~= Vin(+)
Would be equal with infinite gain.

Advantages: High input impedance, high power gain
Disadvantages: With large swings, inputs work under non-ideal conditions far from ground. Stray C can interfere with stability.
