just trying to find out what most do in the following situation.

95mm wall studs/noggins full of acoustic insulation, running cables in prescribed zones and cables need to be in contact with plasterboard do people generally notch the noggins(vertical runs) and studs(horizontal runs) or drill through centres of studs/noggins and leave cable loose so that it can be pressed back against plasterboard in between studs/noggins?
