Hi all.
Looking to refresh the MCB and RCCB (100A 30mA) units to my 20 year old Contactum P12/100N CU installed in my house.

I have presently a section of Contactum 9000 Type B Range.
These are clearly discontinued now.

Can I assume that the new CPB Type B model of MCB and RCCB range is now the replacement and would fit the enclosure i have?
They do look very similar and the dimensions match......?
Many thanks for your advise
Paul

I had a similar question a couple of years ago, so I asked Contactum technical support...:

Hello Steve. Thanks for contacting us.

Unfortunately these older type devices were made obsolete in July 2008 and as such are no-longer available. Our current devices are not designed for use within the old generation of consumer units and will not physically fit. Your only real option here is to consider upgrading your consumer unit to a modern equivalent in line with the requirements of the current wiring regulations BS7671. I have attached our latest brochures to this email for your reference.
