opm electrical

some asked me about why earthing a garage has to be a tt, ill be honest, i new it had to be done but i couldnt remember why, i knew it had something to do with neutral current but someone enlighten me please
 
Theres nothing that states it has to be, tehtype of earthing you have has a big effect on the decision though
 
Do a quick search on the forum for "outbuildings" and you should find loads of threads on this very subject.
 
Hi

i seem to remember that if you have any service, ie. water,gas,oil, coming into the out building then it is best to TT the system
