Danfoss CP715 SI Timer Trouble

Please bear with me while I try to explain this.....

I have a Danfoss CP715 SI Timer which is no longer "talking to" my Flexicom Glo-worm boiler.
The display is on on the timer, all the lights come on when I switch either the water or heating on via the 1hr buttons or the daily programme settings but it doesn't get the boiler to kick in. The boiler works independently but I have to control my heating and water directly from the boiler digital display. I have tried a "soft reset" which hasn't worked. Before I call someone in to look at it can anyone offer any advice?

This is going to sound daft but I don't know what an S Plan is????

Do you have a hot water cylinder and a couple of two port valves?

Yes!

If you turn the HW on and turn cylinder thermostat up do you have resistance on the leaver of the HW valve. Same again with CH on and room thermostat turned up?

Did it just stop working or has somebody been meddling with the boiler and / or controls?

Yes with the HW but no with the CH

It kind of just stopped working a few months back which wasn't a problem over the summer but now that the cold weather is coming I'd like to get the programming to work

so with the HW turned on and the hot water cylinder thermostat turned all the way up you have resistance on leaver?
