Hi all

I have come across a domestic incomming supply where the connector blocks and fuses are hanging off the wall. The earthing conductor termination as it happens is fixed to the wall. It is a TN-S 100A, with seperate housings for neutral and live. I vaguely recall have seen a few where the earthing conductor block is hanging loose, but not the cutout itself. I have logged a call with the distribution company for them to decide what to do about it, but wondering if they will simple provide a quote to refix it only in an outside meter box. All of which will cost the homeowner a small fortune. has anyone had to deal with this type of situtaion before, and what happened?

IMO, it's DNO's equipment and their responsibility to maintain it in a safe condition.

Get the customer to ring the DNO and tell them they can smell burning, they'll be out like a shot

Breaking News: Man found dead in Elecrical Fire after DNO could not arrive to rectify safety hazard due to false alarm.

Get the customer to ring DNO. Get them to tell them the cut out is hanging from the wall and the power keeps going off and on. They will be out within the hour.
