Hi guys

Moved into a new place this year and have a g24 4 pin light fitting in the storage cupboard. Light recently went and I've tried two new bulbs but just get a flicker. Seems there should be a ballast to replace but I can't find one and assume this is part of the overall compact fitting? There is only live and neutral running into the fitting from the ceiling rose.

If that's the case can I simply change the entire fitting for a standard E27 or do I have a hidden ballast somewhere?

Thanks for the help. Image of the fitting and above in the ceiling.
