I am planning on buying a used van for about 700 pounds. The main choice looks to be Ford Escort,VW Caddy,Citroen Berlingo or Renault Kangoo.I think maybe the VW would be best but would like any other ideas on the subject,Thanks.

look at the jap vans, toyota hiace, nissan vanette, etc.

Well,I think I might just go for an escort with a years MOT and some tax, lots of them for sale.Cheap spares, easy to fix and if it only does a year its no problem.Any thoughts?

I thought I was the sole drive of a Gloria (escort Van) these days!!!
I keep trying to kill mine so the boss buys me a new van.... but it just keeps going.... sailed through the MOT 3 months ago

Think the clutch is going in mine..... Only problem is the boss will send it to one of the garages we do work for... They'll fix it in exchange for work we've done...... Doesn't help me get a new van :(

You could try and introduce it to a tree, that might get you a new van, but it might be another Escort:cool:
