Discuss Hi am just really curious and want to know why meter installers get more then Ev installers ? in the UK Electrical Forum area at ElectriciansForums.net

I might have to look into metering since they pay more and is less work and stress.

Meter installers… crawling around in grotty under stairs cupboard… The occupiers of the property probably don’t even want you there, as it was a landlord or supplier that ordered the meter.
Flea ridden dogs sniffing about… flea ridden offspring trying to steal your tools…

Day in, day out.

It’s not salary…. It’s danger money.

(Ok, not every job… but in my years of experience, companies had to dangle a carrot for guys to do the dirty jobs)

I have to crawl same stair cupboard and and situation.

If you aren't happy, then move on. No amount of grumbling is going to change anything, make you happier or improve conditions.
Yh I think it has to be it not ideal doing 2 a day with salary of 34,000 especially in London. Other cities the cut out is always outside so is much easier but in London mostly in middle of house.

Rahi you are being taken on my friend. If you are a qualified spark I would move on next week, there’s not a chance on this earth I’d be in London for 34 grand. There is so much work out there at the minute that’s less demanding and pays more.
