Discuss HNC electrical engineering project help in the Electrical Engineering Chat area at ElectriciansForums.net

Will there be any rotating machinery in the area with the lighting spread over 3 phases?
To be honest it's a therotical idea so
Anyone there?
Sorry got caught up with a few other things. Il look into that. The premise is that it's a switch room on site where i work. Dont think there are any motors in there but could make it up so it's more interesting. Thanks for your help.

Bigf switch room then is it?

It is fairly big. To be fair I was just using it as a template. I could make the location a plant room or pump room and look at it from that angle. Anything to make it slightly more interesting and fill out the report!
OK but unless the 3 rooms you are talking about belong to a large 3ngineering project I doubt very much if the various rooms we are speaking of require lighting spread over 3 phases, just trying to visualise the scenario where you would require such an extensive install. I realise this install is hypothetical, but to get your project right then I feel you would need to be realistic in your approach, sorry if I sound condescending it is not my intention to be so, just trying to help.

No worries, I see what you mean about having the lighting over 3 phases, although in one of the switch rooms I work in the 3 lighting circuits are actually spread over 3 phases, and a 3 phase lighting contactor has been used. Over engineered i guess! That's why I was going to use that as a template as pictures of finished installation would be easy and could test it too.
