Hey fellas,

I've bought a digital thermostat to replace and old manual honeywell that's in a bit of a bad way.

I've open both up to check the wiring but the new digital doesnt have an earth. I don't want to start messing with them until I'm sure where it should be placed. I've attached some photos to help.

Any advice would be much appreciated.

Hi there,

Thanks for the help,

I've inserted all wires into the same connections on the new thermo but the display will not turn on at all? any ideas on this one?

Thank in advance!

Check the wiring diagram for the new stat as they are not necessarily the same as the old one. The old stat also would not have needed a neutral to function, the new one does. Is the neutral definitely connected at the other end.

If you look at the back of the new one it has the class 2 symbol.

Hi,i may have missed a bit,but what is it switching?

On occasion,it's not a floor standing Glow worm...

The original may be 10A switching, dependant on type of load, and the new one is rated at 3A.

Probably worrying about nothing...unless you have 1960's electric UFH :)
