I want to install a cooler unit of Rittal make on one side of an enclosure of IP66 rating. I need to cut suitable holes to the enclosure to do this. What should I do to keep the IP rating of the whole assembly?
Thanks for the reply. The holes are rectangular for air flow from the cooling unit. Also 6mm holes are required for fixing of the cooling unit to the enclosure. The enclosure is IP66 rated and the cooling unit is NEMA 4X rated. Thankswhat are the holes for, specifically, cables?
But the customer needs an air conditioner to be attached to the enclosure. At the same time the IP66 status needs to be maintained
Dear Guitarist, thanks. But I need to fit a cooling unit on the panel
I understand what you are trying to achieve, but unless you buy a unit designed for this, or else mount the whole assembly inside another enclosure with some kind of baffle/drain facility, then you cannot have a dust-tight box on the one hand along with ventilation on the other.
Dear Guitarist, Thank you for your comments
