this is what I found after being called out to a fire brigade response of a burning smell in the cupboard...



thay had an immersion heater plugged in to it and a washing machine at the same time nice..

the socket did not look much better clothes all over the tank, so close batteries removed from smoke alarm as well

ask to responed to a call from the Fire service today A burning smell coming from the cupboard no batteries in the smoke alarm thay had used them in the kiddies

toys over Christmas clothes over the plug trying to dry them on the tank nice..

Landlords reports PIR etc... well what can I say another near miss this week gob smacked again is it me or does any one else see sh.t like this?

What had they got plugged in? Heaters? Or just a faulty plug or was it bare wires jammed in adaptor with matchsticks like we used to find a lot?

What area are you in? when I was with the fire service the only electricians we called out were the dno,anything else and it was left to the customer.fire brigades are not allowed to call out electricians as it breaches the rules on professional standards.
