Just a quickie, we've installed loads of Landis & Gyr 5235B generation meters but the last one I did alternately displayed an 'r' alongside a 0 kWh reading and then a 't' alongside the PV generated reading.

I guess it's a twin-rate display or some such thing; is that to be expected (and ignored)?

Sounds like you have an import/export version of the 5235A meter from L&G. Printed on the front-right of the meter does is show "5235A"? Does the serial number start with "A02"?

That particular version is designed to cycle the display between the "t" and "r" values and is, as you say, a dual-register display. If the meter is installed in a "generation meter" position then you can ignore the "r" reading, that will only actually register any residual/low-power consumption by the inverter during the night.
