Hi all,

First-time poster here. There is a hose bib in my garage that I would like to move down so it is closer to the floor. However, the house's ground wire is clamped to the side of the bib. In light of this, is there a problem with (or are there any considerations that come with) removing the clamped wire and reattaching it to the pipe directly adjacent to the hose bib? Thanks!

No problem just take it loose but when you finish hook it back up. Don’t no why it was hoped to the hose bib, I seen a whole run of metal pipe that you could just relocate it

Thanks! Sorry if this is a dumb question, but is there any need to shut off the main breaker when I do it?

No because all that wire is doing is just bonding the water piping. No problem
