Is there much pref between, obviously full scope NIC has its prestige but its not worth the cash this year.

The website doesn't have the price for NIC domestic at the moment, but elecsa looks a tad cheaper than napit...

Do you really want nic "domestic installer" sticker on your van lol, might as well say **** :p

I was going to go with them, they've rung me every day twice for the last month since i spoke to them lol, there's not that much in it though to go with one thats a a bit more recognised, also elecsa and napit I see the options for Trustmark for a little more

No I don't really I kind of ruled It out just because of that, but 80% of my work is subcontracted from another company but Im just now trying to build the rest up hence nows the time I need to join up. Full scope is not worth it this year, maybe next just thinking who to go first, Only reason considering Domestic NIC just because it could be more easy to change to full scope and I already Have to deal with NIC for my subcontracted work.

I can recommend NAPIT, to a degree haha.

I signed up with them this year and they do represent better value than the NICEIC, the price for full scope NAPIT membership is the same as NIC Domestic Installer last time I checked. Plus from what I can tell there a lot easier to get along with i.e. less demanding than the NIC. I found my on site assessment to be very friendly and not to much hassle.

ELECSA, Stroma etc to me mean nothing to joe public so I wouldn't be going for them. Not that NIC and NAPIT are exactly well known mind you.

I also took advantage of the Trust Mark membership as mentioned above which I think does help somewhat.

In any case I find all the schemes to be to expensive and to intrusive but hey thats the way it is.

Only because people continue to sign up with them and part with there hard earned cash. The scams are laughing all the way to the bank.

Help, ....How??

If a 17 day whizzer can gain membership of ''Trust Mark'' then it's just another pointless, money making scam that means absolutely NOTHING to a qualified electrician or more importantly to the customers!! Just another dreamt up Con to haul in the cash!!

1 Day pat testing course
4 Day 17th edition course
1 Day testing and inspecting course
1 Day CSCS course
7 day part P course
1 Day application to the NICEIC
1 Day inspection by NICEIC Engineer
400 notes transfered between applicants bank and NICEIC bank

Day 17 full DI membership and Part P Complient, and white card saying "essential electric" written on it in red wording.

I was talking simply about brand recognition, In my experience more of the public are aware of the trust mark than any of the Part P Schemes.
