I Have finished my First Installation and I have used a Separate Garage enclosure with a 100ma 100Amp RCD Going into the Henley Block and a 16a MCB. I Was advised to use a 100ma RCD because of the size of the installation (3.91Kw) Now I am wondering if i should have used a 30ma The Inverter is a sunny boy 3300 so has Galvanized Isolation and a Transformer etc. Any Help would be so so so Appreciated. Many Thanks in Advance

Hi

if you are using an sma inverter, im sure you wont need rcd protection, unless the ac cabling is concealing in the wall. ie plastered over. The galvinic isolation of the inverter means that the dc and ac circuitry is electrically seperate, so rcd protection is not required. i did confirm this the assessor from the niceic when he came to visit my install for the mcs.
